HAPPY NEW YEAR!
My christmas present for 2010 from Solomon Telekom was an 81% price increase associated with the use of my dongle. Its now incredibly expensive for me to access the internet through the dongle and Im going to have to look for an alternative (there is only one alternative; a landline connection which I don't think will be as good as my dongle - but Im going to have to try it!).
I promise to enter a big update when I sort it out...and once I get some photos off Anna. But, overall, Christmas was quiet...Honiara becomes a bit of a ghost town as businesses close over the christmas period and many people go back to their home provinces (a plus side, however, is that I had an almost constant water and electricity supply over the christmas period - I'm guessing due to a reduction of the burden on these services with so many people away).
Anna and I set off to the Western Province in the New Year and stayed at Uepi Island Resort...Im in love with Uepi now, will tell you all about it when I get photos to accompany the narration! (Ans I need you to do me a favour..)
